Paola Leone, DDS

I am passionate about orthodontics. I feel so privileged to provide care for my patients, and I love the meaningful friendships I form with each and every one! 

Education

For my dental education, I attained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Bari, School of Dentistry, and was Valedictorian of my class. I then obtained my Master of Science in Dentistry at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education, specializing in Orthodontics. 

Continuing Education

I am always striving to know more about my field and to provide my patients with more efficient and comfortable treatments. As a part of my continuing education, I have been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Department of Orthodontics for more than 10 years.
 
I have published several articles relating to orthodontic treatment, most recently in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, relating to the use of transitional dental implants in orthodontics. I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
 
As a part of my continuing education, I am an active member of the following organizations:

• Washington State Society of Orthodontists
• Washington Dental Association
• King County Dental Associations
• Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists

In the Practice

I love my job because I am able to make a big difference in my patients’ lives. After more than 12 years in practice, I still enjoy it when I can see the smiles of pride on our patients when we are finished with treatment, and I know my job was done well. I also cherish the relationships I form with my patients during treatment. I love watching the kids blossom as they become young adults.

Our office is unique in that we take pride in our diversity. We love respect and admire one another and really enjoy coming to work each day to provide exceptional treatment for our patients. Our team is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and skilled; they enjoy patient interaction as much as Dr. Vaughn and I do.

Family Life

I am originally from Bari, Italy, which is a region of Puglia. I have lived in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle for nearly 10 years. I am married to my husband, Greg, and we have two wonderful children named Gabriella and Claudio. We also live with our Chocolate Lab/New Foundland mix, Rocco!

When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy cooking, snowboarding and Circus Arts, especially aerials and the trapeze!
