Smile Confidently With Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of removable orthodontic aligners, made from clear material, that can straighten teeth just like braces do – only without the look of metal brackets and wires.
These aligners work by gently applying controlled and continuous pressure to your teeth in different areas of your mouth at different points of your treatment plan.
Invisalign is a great orthodontic treatment option for children, teens and adults who prefer a lower-profile option in terms of esthetics, and the convenience of removable aligners.
Because they are made of a transparent material, Invisalign is hardly visible in your mouth. Most people people won't even know you're wearing them!
An added benefit to Invisalign is that because they are removable, you can take them out to brush, floss, and eat. This means that there are no dietary restrictions associated with their use, and you can easily keep up with your oral hygiene routine.

Smooth Construction
Invisalign aligners are made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are BPA free.
This material is smooth, so you'll experience little to no irritation or discomfort from them rubbing against your mouth.
Low-Profile Aesthetics
For those with esthetic problems when it comes to orthodontic treatment, Invisalign can be a great choice.
Invisalign aligners are clear and lightweight, which means they are nearly invisible when worn. The casual observer may not even notice you're wearing them!

Removable Aligners
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can take them out when you eat, which means there are no dietary restrictions as a result of your orthodontic treatment.
You can also take the aligners out to brush and flush, so maintaining the best oral hygiene routine possible should be a breeze.

No Adjustment Appointments Needed
Invisalign aligners don't need to be adjusted like braces do. Instead, you just switch from one set of aligners to the next in the series as prescribed by your orthodontist.
That said, you'll still need to visit us for checkups to assess your progress, but you'll definitely save time on those adjustment appointments!
Digital Impressions with iTero™
Our clinics use the iTero 3D scanner to take digital impressions of your smile – and show you your projected results – in preparation for Invisalign treatment.
iTero impressions are minimally intrusive and don't use goopy impression material like physical impressions do.

The Invisalign Treatment Process
Wondering how it all works? Find out what to expect during your orthodontic treatment with Invisalign.
Initial Consultation
At your initial consultation, your orthodontist will perform an exam and imaging with the iTero 3D scanner to diagnose your orthodontic condition, and design your custom treatment plan. Your orthodontist will also address any questions or concerns you may have about practical and financial aspects of your treatment.
The Treatment Plan
Referring to your exam and scans, your orthodontist will develop a plan for you that will chart the precise movements of your teeth at each stage of your Invisalign treatment, and the approximate duration of your treatment. Based on this plan, your aligners will be made by Invisalign at a lab using 3D printing technology.
Wearing Your Aligners
You'll wear your aligners every day of your treatment, only taking them out for a total of about two hours a day to eat, or to brush and floss. Approximately every other week or so, you'll change from set of aligners to the next in the series. Over time, you'll see your new smile start to take shape as your teeth shift into the desired positions.
Appointments With Us
Throughout your Invisalign treatment process, you'll visit our office periodically for a checkup.
During these appointments, your orthodontist will assess your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Please also feel free to use these appointments to ask us any questions you may have about your Invisalign treatment.
Enjoy & Maintain
You've made it to the end of treatment – congratulations! It's time to enjoy your straighter, healthier smile. At your final Invisalign appointment with your orthodontist, we'll review the progress your smile has made. Your orthodontist will prescribe retainers to keep your teeth in their current positions as your jaw bone heals around the tooth roots.

What is Invisalign?
Invisalign orthodontic treatment is a series of clear, custom aligners designed to straighten your teeth without using metal wires or brackets.
Using advanced 3D computer imaging technology, we will create a treatment plan based on your unique smile and goals.
Your Invisalign aligners will then be manufactured to fit your teeth precisely during each stage of the treatment process.
- What are the primary features of Invisalign?
-
How does Invisalign work?
Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of clear, plastic aligners. Each aligner in the series is carefully crafted to adjust your teeth in tiny increments so that at the end of treatment, you have a straight smile. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before switching to the next one, until you've gone through all of your aligners and your smile is perfected.
-
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign will depend on the severity of your orthodontic condition and how many aligners you'll need to correct it.
Naturally, with more severe or complex orthodontic cases, more aligners will be needed, and the cost will go up.
Concerns about cost are completely understandable. We offer flexible in-house payment plans to help you manage your budget for orthodontic treatment.
-
How many sets of aligners will I need?
The answer to this question will depend on the nature and severity of your misalignment. Each case is different.
Based on a detailed evaluation of your bite during your initial consultation, your orthodontist will give you an accurate estimate of how long your treatment will last.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Your orthodontist will be able to provide you with an estimate of how long your Invisalign treatment will take based on your specific case.
The duration of your treatment is ultimately determined by the nature and severity of the misalignment of your teeth or jaw. This determines the amount of movement required to correct your orthodontic problem and how many aligners you'll need to accomplish this.
-
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are BPA-free.
-
Can adults use Invisalign?
Almost anyone with healthy teeth and gums is a potential candidate for Invisalign.
Many adults these days are opting to undergo orthodontic treatment with Invisalign aligners because of their discreet look, and the convenience of being able to remove them to eat, and to brush and floss.
-
Can teenagers use Invisalign?
Yes! Teens certainly can be candidates for Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign offers Invisalign Teen, a product line designed to meet the unique needs of teenagers.
They also come with eruption tabs for tweens and younger teens whose adult teeth are still growing in. These tabs provide space for second molars and prevent them from growing crooked.
-
Can children use Invisalign?
Yes, Invisalign has a product line called Invisalign First that can be used on kids as young as seven in some cases.
Compared to standard Invisalign aligners, Invisalign First aligners are smaller and designed to fit baby teeth. They also have an Eruption Compensation feature that allows them to seamlessly accommodate baby teeth falling out and adult teeth growing in.
-
How will Invisalign fit my lifestyle?
Like any orthodontic treatment, Invisalign may take some getting used to at first. But we believe you'll find it fits very comfortably into your daily routine.
Invisalign aligners can be removed whenever you need to eat, drink, brush, or floss. That means there are no dietary restrictions, and you can maintain your normal oral hygiene routine.
Because the aligners are made of lightweight, clear plastic, they are almost invisible when worn, meaning your orthodontic treatment won't be apparent to anyone but you.
-
How often do I have to visit the orthodontist with Invisalign?
You'll need to visit the orthodontist approximately every 12 weeks during your Invisalign treatment for a checkup so that they can assess your progress. Extra visits may be required if any refinements or adjustments are needed to your treatment plan.
Invisalign aligners don't need to be adjusted or tightened the way traditional braces do, so you won't need to visit us for appointments like that during your treatment.
-
How often do I have to change my Invisalign aligners?
When you start treatment, your orthodontist will tell you exactly how often you should switch out your aligners.
While the frequency can vary from case to case, most patients switch to the next set of aligners every two weeks or so.
-
Are there any food or drink restrictions?
Because you can remove your aligners to eat, there aren't any dietary restrictions associated with undergoing Invisalign treatment.
We recommend taking your aligners out to drink beverages other than water to avoid staining and warping, and so that sugars and acids don't get trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
There are a few different steps involved when it comes to keeping your Invisalign aligners clean.
You should rinse them off each time you take them out of your mouth to remove dry saliva and any developing plaque.
You should also clean your aligners thoroughly each day. Use a soft toothbrush, clear anti-bacterial soap, and cool water to clean them. Brush your aligners gently to not scratch them, and then rinse off the soap.
In addition to cleaning the aligners themselves, you should ensure your mouth is nice and clean before you put them back in. This means brushing and flossing after each meal to ensure no food particles get stuck between your teeth and the aligners, leading to bad breath and possibly cavities and gum disease.
-
How do I store my aligners?
When they're not in your mouth, Invisalign aligners should be kept in the case they were given to you with to keep them safe and clean.
-
Can I play sports with Invisalign?
Orthodontic treatment causes your teeth to temporarily loosen slightly as they shift into their new positions, making them more susceptible to damage than they normally are. It's important to invest in a sports mouth guard to protect your teeth while you play sports, whether you are undergoing orthodontic treatment or not.
That said, Invisalign aligners are removable, so you can play sports without worrying about damaging them.
However, to keep treatment on track, Invisalign aligners must be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day (or as prescribed by your orthodontist), so plan your time carefully.
-
Can I play my woodwind or brass instrument with Invisalign?
Yes! Simply remove your aligners to play your instrument, and pop them back in when you're done.
Keep in mind that you must keep your Invisalign aligners in for about 22 hours a day (or as prescribed by your orthodontist), so be sure to plan your practice time carefully.
-
Invisalign vs. braces: which is right for me?
Invisalign and braces are both effective orthodontic treatment options, but there are differences between them that may affect their suitability for different individuals.
Factors to consider when choosing between Invisalign and braces include aesthetics, your personal preferences and lifestyle, cost, and the nature and severity of your misalignment. You can learn more here.
Your orthodontist will assess your specific case and recommend the best treatment option for your needs.
